3 Year End Cases Equals New iPod

Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage has been enjoying yet another excellent year in 2007. We are up over 35% versus 2006, and are doing our best to get that number over 40% by year-end. To help encourage a strong year-end, any broker working with our agency who pays for 3 or more cases before December 31st will receive a brand new 8 GB iPod.

Just our way of saying thank you for an excellent year from all of our brokers.

Why Our Overhead Expense Coverage is Tough To Beat

Our Overhead Expense policy stands up to the competition where it counts - with a 30 day elimination period*. When you discuss individual DI with your clients, it often makes sence to use a 90 day elimination period, but the needs of a business owner are quite different.

When a business owner becomes disabled, monthly business expenses usually remain the same, that is- if they don't increase to cover the cost of a replacement. He or she may be forced to tap into personal savings- money that is probably needed to support the household during a disability- to meet the monthly expenses to keep the business up and running.

Waiting 90 days just does not make business sense. That's why we made sure that our OE is priced best where it counts, with a 30-day elimination period. The following chart represents just how well we stack up against 3 of our top competitors.

Berkshire Enhances Participation Rules for Disability Buy-Out

In case you missed the news, Berkshire now participates with other carriers’ coverage on Disability Buy-Out (DBO) insurance cases in all jurisdictions except California, Montana and New York. Berkshire allows its DBO coverage to be layered on top of an owner’s existing coverage from another carrier. Berkshire DBO is also available for new owners of a partnership/corporation without replacing in-force DBO contracts on the existing owners.

New Videos Added to Video Learning Center

Several new videos have been added to our Brokerage Learning Center today. We have four videos from the 2006 Advanced Disability Meeting showing presentations from some of Guardian's top DI producers nationwide including two of our favorite presentations from Dr. Eric Studley, and Jeffrey Benowitz. We have also added several new videos to the underwriting section from our recent seminar with Chuck Audette. The question and answer section from his presentation was so informative we chopped it up so agents could reference it.

Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage believes that video over the web is part of everybody's future. You can look for us to continue to build web based video content for our agents to utilize. If you have any good video ideas please feel free to contact us with them.
