Steve Crawford, General Agent

Began Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage in 1997 immediately after graduating from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. In 2003 Steve was the number one producer of Berkshire disability insurance nationwide. In 2002 he was the first elected chairman of Berkshire's D.I.A.C. (Disability Insurance Advisory Council), and has held the disability income executive committee chair for Guardian several times. In 2003 and 2002 Steve was also named First Financial Group's 'Associate of The Year'. Steve has been referenced in articles for major news sources such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, Money Magazine, CBSMarketwatch.com, and Financial Planning Magazine.

Matthew Finn, Disability Insurance Supervisor

Works with professional insurance agents and financial planners in Maryland, Virginia, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington D.C. Matt has been one of Guardian's top 5 disability insurance supervisors nationwide for several years. His job is to help agents sell Guardian disability insurance, or long term care insurance, and then facilitate the processing of that business.

Matt was named the Associate of the Year for our firm in 2008 & 2009.

Susan Campbell, Disability Insurance Supervisor

Works with professional insurance agents and financial planners in Maryland, Virginia, and Eastern Pennsylvania marketing and processing Berkshire disability insurance for their clients.

Bill Olmsted, Disability Specialist

Bill began in the insurance industry with New England Financial. Shortly after he joined New England, he began to focus on disability insurance as his primary specialty.

Bill's production with Guardian puts him in the top 1% of agents nationwide, a member of Guardian's elite Inner Circle for disability
insurance, and one of Guardian's top 10 producers. Bill was also the #1 Field Representative for disability insurance for Guardian in 2005. Bill is an active contributor to and moderator of http://www.disabilityinsuranceforums.com, as well as a founding member of the International DI Society, and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).

Bill lives in Boyds, Maryland with his wife and two sons. When he's not advising people on protecting their income, Bill enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.

Jason DeSantolo is a disability insurance brokerage representative working with insurance agents and financial planners in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Gary Fegan, Disability Specialist

Gary Fegan is a seasoned disability insurance specialist with over ten years of experience and hundreds of satisfied clients. He takes great pride in customizing the best disability plan to meet each client's specific needs, concerns and budgetary restrictions.

He has been teamed up with another seasoned veteran, Larry Laskin, for the past ten years. Larry, likewise, has hundreds of happy clients. Their business relationship is essential to their clients, because one of them is always available to help either of their clients.

Although they also help their clients with life and long term care insurances, their passion and focus is on the disability insurance.

Gary lives just outside of Washington, D.C. in Rockville, Maryland with his wife, Micki, and three boys, Jimmy, Chris, and Sean.

Larry has been in the insurance business since 1995, and has helped over 1500 individuals and families secure either disability and/or life insurance. He chooses to focus on individual disability insurance because of a deep belief in the product, and because of a personal experience in 2003 when he was disabled for 6 months with severe back pain.

Thomas Lloyd, Field Representative

Thomas Lloyd is a Field Representative with the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.

His primary focus is to ensure all his clients obtaining either disability or life insurance have a properly structured insurance plan specifically to protect their personal and business long-term financial goals.

He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and enjoys landscape photography, scuba diving, playing sports and supporting the Boston Red Sox.

Anthony DelVecchio, Disability Specialist

Anthony is a Field Representative with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. He joined our agency in early 2006, and in his first year qualified for the Advanced Disability Meeting offered by the Berkshire Life Insurance Company for their top producers. Anthony was the number one new Field Representative for disability insurance sales nationwide for Guardian Life in 2006. He also has qualified for Guardian's Leaders Club every year he has been with us. He was born and raised in NY and is an avid sports enthusiast living in Frederick, MD.

Jack Le, Disability Specialist

Jack began his career in the Disability Insurance (DI) industry in late of 2004, writing for several different insurance companies. Jack is now a direct field representative with Guardian Life Insurance Company and a specialist in DI sales.

Jack’s DI production has earned him a Guardian’s Leaders Club membership and is one of the top 2% of producers writing individual DI business across the country with Guardian. Jack lives in Germantown MD. When not working, Jack is an avid naturalist / zoologist, and a reef aquarist.

Mike is a Financial Representative at Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage specializing in disability income insurance for clients across the country. He has been focused on income protection planning since 2006.

Shayna DelVecchio, Marketing Director

Jennifer Finn, Office Manager

Jen is our office manager and is responsible for the administration of our office, the staff and normal day to day operations. In addition to managing our administrative staff, she is responsible for the monthly commissions sent from our office to brokers in MD, VA, DC, PA and DE.

Stacey Rapant, New Business

New Business Department - Stacey is the contact person, and head of our field underwriting department. She came to us after several years of working directly for Berkshire Life Insurance Company of America as a manager in their new business department. Stacey works directly with our clients during the underwriting process to make sure each and every client gets the best possible policy.

Meghan Hoagland, Receptionist

Meghan is the receptionist as well as an administrative assistant for Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage. On top of being the first person you see walking through our doors, or the voice you hear when you call our office, she handles most of the policy holder service issues in the firm.

Brittney Hallman, New Business Case Manager

Brittney is the new business coordinator for agents working with Matt Finn at Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage. Her job responsibilities include processing new applications, walking applications through the underwriting process, and working directly with agents on new proposals, and underwriting issues.

Jennifer Weisman, New Business

Jennifer is a case manager for Guardian Disability Insurance Brokerage. She works with insurance agents throughout the Mid-Atlantic region helping them to run disability insurance proposals for their clients, move applications through the underwriting process, ordering paramedical exams and medical records, and general service work for our brokers. She also works with clients of our career agents helping them through the underwriting process.

Jennifer Therrien, New Business

Jennifer Therrien works with agents and brokers to help them with their disability, long term care, and life business. She joined us after working in the Berkshire Life home office in Pittsfield, MA for several years. Jennifer has years of experience working directly in the new business department of Berkshire Life, and is very well trained to work with the brokers of the Guardian DI Brokerage office. She is responsible to processing the new applications, running quotes, and overall case management from start to finish of all brokerage applications and policies. Brokers will find Jennifer is an excellent resource, and very customer service oriented.
