Common Question - Do You Offer Temporary Disability Insurance?

This company does not offer temporary disability insurance to fill your gap in coverage. In order to apply with Berkshire or Guardian you must list any disability insurance that you have, have applied for, or will be eligible for on the application. If you are going to be eligible for group LTD with your company in a specified amount of time you would be legally required to list this on your individual disability insurance application. Because you will be eligible for the coverage, Berkshire may only be able to offer you a small supplemental disability insurance policy over and above the LTD benefit you will have.

We actually don't know of a major insurance company that offers gap disability insurance coverage for situations like this, the only thing we could offer you is a small supplemental policy that would be designed to overlap your future long term disability protection through your company.
