The RPP is a new product introduced by Berkshire in 2000. Very few disability insurance carriers are offering this product today. RPP continues to make contributions towards a persons retirement plan during a period of disability. If your client is already maxed out in personal disability insurance, this is a way to provide more disability insurance, and to make sure that a person still has a well funded retirement despite a prolonged period of disability during their working years.
